Adding an extension on this semi-detached house created a separate dining and seating area overlooking the garden. The kitchen space lent itself to a U-shaped layout with a feature wall of tall units, with fridge, larder, and two ovens, framed all round, with built in open shelving in whitewashed oak. The sink run is backed with tall storage units that allow for the the difference in height from kitchen to extension. The worktop was taken down on the side of the run over the two steps to neatly hide the change in levels. A tiny utility room with just enough space for a laundry area with boiler is tucked off to one side leaving the kitchen with a minimalist feel, warmed by the wood details.
